Attraction Park "Aquapolis" � the most beautiful water park in Eastern Europe, is the fi rst one in Bulgaria, established in a unique Mauritian Mediterranean style. It is located in the northwestern section of "Golden Sands" tourist resort, on the main road from "Riviera" tourist resort to "Albena" tourist resort. The water park is situated in the forest, sporting a unique sea-view and the whole tourist resort. 05. Aladzha Monastery
Aladja Monastery - "Aladja" means colourful. The name is because the vivid wall paintings from the early Middle ages. Christianity in the suberbs of Odesos (today Varna) is spread in the second part of I C. and here the fi rst christians made their rituals in peace. The rock monky rooms were settled during IV century. The oldest archeological ruins are from the Early Byzantine Epoch: monets from IV/V C and ceramics. The caves were used for protection at the time of barbarian attacks. The rooms are hollowed out in the chalky rocks and are connected with an outside staircase. On the down fl oor are situated the rooms of the monks, the common parts (kitchen, dining room) and a small church, and the upper fl oor was for the chapel. Saved is a part of the wall paintings in the chapel. Near by is situated another monastery complex, called the Catacombs.

Journalist Bus Stop is situated near one of the most beautiful beaches in Varna. Its favourable location makes it an attractive destination for diff erent types of tourism and relaxation. It is 10 km away from Varna downtown and 2 km away from the Golden Sands resort.

08. "St. Constantine and Helen"
St. St. Constantine and Helena Resort is the first officially recognized Black Sea resort. It is one of the most popular and beautiful Bulgarian tourist attractions. It is situated 10 km north of Varna city /16 km away from Varna airport/ amidst an area of remarkably splendid natural beauty. The terrain is a natural terrace above the sea of about 10-15 m height. The whole area is covered with many-years broad-leaved forest reaching the sea coast. The seaside coast is more than 3.5 km long. In the resort there are tennis courts, children playgrounds and a football ground, outdoors and indoors mineral water pools and 2 yachting ports with the capacity to accommodate 40 medium-size yachts.
09. Dolphinarium Varna
Dolphinarium is a unique attraction facility, lying amidst a green landscape in the northern part of the Sea Garden in Varna, allowing a magnifi cent view to the sea. It was opened on 11 August 1984, and since then it has been one of the symbols of Varna and tourism in Bulgaria. Dolphinarium is a favorite spot in the sightseeing program of all tourists visiting the Black Sea. At present there are 6 dolphins - 2 male and 4 female - Kimbo, Doli, Popi, Yoana and Bimbo; 3 of them were born in Dolphinarium Varna.
10. University of Economics
The idea for opening University of economics in Varna, Bulgaria was born in 1911 when the foundation of the building was laid. The university was founded on 14 May 1920. It is the oldest university for economic sciences in Bulgaria and the second oldest university in the country after Sofi a University, which was founded in 1888. University of Economics - Varna is a cultural institution with a place and style of its own.
11. Archeological Museum
Founded on 3 June 1888, when a museum, part of the City Library was established, the Varna Archaeological Museum is situated in a historic building designed in the Neo-Renaissance style by the noted architect Petko Momchilov and built in 1892�1898 for the Varna Girls' School. It became state property in 1945 and since 1993 the museum occupies all of the building, parts of which it has used since 1895. One of the largest museums in Bulgaria, it features 2,150 m2 of exhibition area and displays objects from the prehistoric, Thracian, Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman periods of the region's history, as well as from the times of the medieval Bulgarian and Byzantine Empires, the Ottoman rule and the Bulgarian National Revival (including about 900 medieval and Revival icons).
12. Varna Cathedral
One of the symbols of the city of Varna is the large Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin. It is situated in the very heart of the city and is well known as a place for appointments and landmark for tourists. First stone in the foundations of the building was ?? put by king Alexander Batenberg I in 1880. After the ceremony the king gave amnesty to all the prisoners from Varna prison with three mounts left to the end of the term. The cathedral was build for 6 years and the stones from the old city wall were used. It is topped with golden onion domes, which alleviate the sombre, blocky appearance of its main body, the church is a much-cherished symbol of the city, second in size only to the Aleksander Nevski Memorial Church in Sofia.
13. Mall Varna

14. Orient Market
Nearby the city center is situated "the colourful" Open-Air Market - it is a variety of goods off ered on very low prices. On a place like this, one can feel the spirit of the Bulgarian atmosphere, the possibility to buy naturally grown fruits and vegetables or a fresh fi sh catched by some old fi sherman or just have a simple conversation with a tradesman for the "simple things in life.
15. Sea Port Varna
The Passenger Terminal also known as the Sea Station, is located at the entrance of the oldest port facility � Varna East. The terminal is well protected by a breakwater. It has a modern lounge to welcome the passengers, 2 berths for cruise vessels and small marina operated by the Port of Varna Marina Club. The marina off ers various services: maintenance and repairs, docking, power supply, fresh water, etc. The Marina Club can serve as agent to the visiting boats, and it provides this service free of charge. Every year the port welcomes and organizes local races and sea events. Varna is also included in the route of Kayra International Black Sea Race.
16. Aquarium
The Varna Aquarium is inseparable part of the Institute of Fisheries and Aquacultures. The construction was built in 1911 and the aquarium started functioning in 1932. It displays about 25 marine species, 20 fresh water species and 22 decorative fi sh species. The arched halls illustrate the history of the exploration of Black Sea, collections of invertebrates living in the Black Sea and scallops from many seas. In the park in front of the Aquarium a miniature model of the Black Sea has been built.
17. Zoological Garden
Varna zoo is situated in the Sea garden, near Russian Monument. The fi rst inhabitant was the fox Milka. It was given as a present to "Parks and gardens" in 1950. At that time there wasn't a real zoo. In 1955 the fox escaped. The fi rst inhabitant of the new zoo was a bear, named Maksim, � present from the sailors of "Georgi Dimitrov" destroyer in 1956. The bear was tied to a tree until 1958 when the zoo construction began. After that Varna hunting association delivered diff erent animals and birds, as well as monkeys from India and others. The zoo was opened for visitors in 1961 and became a favorite place for adults and children.
18. Piccadily Park
Piccadilly Park is a fi ve-level shopping center. On the fi rst level, there is Piccadilly Supermarket with an extended counter for hot entrees and meals for immediate consumption. The shopping center includes also a silver jewellery shop, watch and souvenir shops, a photo studio, a pharmacy, La Pastaria Restaurant, Leonidas Belgian chocolates shop, a travel agency, Raiff eisenbank, an exquisite liquor, wine, cigar and cigarette store � BonVivant. On the last level, there is Sunrise GYM fi tness studio. On the same fl oor, there is also a solar studio, a beauty salon, hairdresser's, children's corner and Luciano Panorama Cafe.
